US Open Golf 2015: How to View Live Leaderboard Scores, Updates on Saturday

Justin NeumanJun 20, 2015

We are halfway through the 2015 U.S. Open, and things are starting to heat up as America's championship heads into weekend play.

After a five-under round Thursday, Dustin Johnson stumbled a bit on Friday, scoring a one-over 71 and sitting at four under through two rounds.

Tied for the lead with Jordan Spieth is Patrick Reed. Both sit at five under, with Spieth enjoying a particularly good second round at three under. The highlight of Reed's day came with sticking a lengthy putt to earn an eagle, as shown by the U.S. Open's Twitter page:

Here's a look at the complete leaderboard, which you can follow for updates through the weekend:

Henrik Stenson, one of the leaders from Thursday, stumbled and is currently tied for 12th after shooting a four-over 74. Back-to-back bogeys on 14 and 15 and then again on three and four (he started on the 10th tee) hindered Stenson a little bit.

One name you won't see anywhere near the top of the leaderboard, however, is Tiger Woods. For just the fifth time since he turned pro, Woods missed the cut at a major. After shooting a miserable 10 over on Thursday, he followed it up Friday with a six-over 76, finishing his two days at an almost unconscionable 16 over.

Woods told Bob Harig of ESPN the reason for his struggles was he couldn't get anything going with the putter: "I wanted to shoot 5 or 6 [under] today. But I wanted to be on the other side of it. I hit it a little bit better today, but I made nothing [on the greens]. I didn't make any putts the first two days. I hit it better today, hitting some spots where I could hit some putts. I made nothing."

One of the other contenders heading into the weekend is Jason Day, who is tied for ninth at two under. But Day had a scary moment Friday when he collapsed while playing the ninth hole.

Spieth, who was his playing partner, tried to keep photographers from taking pictures of the scene as medical personnel worked on the golfer, as described by Harig.

Harig reported that Day was diagnosed with vertigo and was resting comfortably after receiving treatment at a nearby medical center. He also noted that Day has had bouts with vertigo in the past, but he hopes to finish playing the tournament this weekend.

Now that the field has been cut, things will start to get interesting this weekend. It's somewhat surprising to see so many players still under par, so chances are that the course will be even more difficult for the last two days.
