Bourn Appealing 1-Game Ban

Michael Bourn has been mired in a relative slump at the plate of late, and he let frustration get the best of him during his club's 6-0 win over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday evening.
After Bourn made contact with home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi during an argument that appeared to revolve around a called strikeout, Major League Baseball has suspended him one game, according to the Indians' official Twitter account.
Following the fourth-inning dispute, Bourn was ejected.
He explained the altercation following the win, according to Northeast Ohio Media Group's Zack Meisel:
"I went up to him [on the way to center field] and told him I thought the ball he called me out on was six inches outside. It was because I looked at it [on video]. He said, 'That's what you came to tell me?' I said 'Yeah.' Then he said, 'You should wait until you come up to bat the next time to tell me.' I told him I felt like saying it now...and he tossed me.'
"
Bourn is appealing the suspension and will take the field Thursday evening when the Indians look to capture a series victory over the Cubs.
Bourn didn't make a plate appearance in Cleveland's 17-0 loss Wednesday night, but June has not been kind to the speedy outfielder. This month, he's batting .212 with just one double and one stolen base.
All that comes after Bourn put forth an encouraging display in May, when he hit .301 with three doubles and 16 stolen bases.
Eight games back of the division-leading Kansas City Royals, Cleveland could use a resurgence from Bourn sooner rather than later.
