Bubba Watson Had a Less-Than-Enjoyable 1st Round at the US Open
Bubba Watson isn't playing poorly, but he's not having a lot of fun in the opening round of the 2015 U.S. Open.
The Bagdad, Florida, native lost his touch in a couple of spots Thursday, double bogeying No. 1 and No. 10 before finishing his round with an even-par score of 70 at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington.
As of this writing, Watson is in the middle of a whopping 25-way tie for 21st place. And judging by his remarks and body language on the course, he's had more relaxing days.
For the Win's Luke Kerr-Dineen reports Watson began complaining loudly about the slow pace of play at the tournament after a poor wood shot at No. 18.
"Thirty-minute wait!" Watson shouted. "This is pathetic professional golf!"
Looking at this Vine uploaded by Golf Unfiltered's Adam Fonseca, I'm surprised Watson resisted hammer tossing his club into a sand trap.
So, uh, remember that whole thing about no one on the PGA Tour wanting to help Watson in a parking lot scrap?
This is could be why they'd let you fend for yourself between the Mazdas, Bubba.
Dan is on Twitter. He walks around his desk shouting "This is pathetic professional blogging!" whenever the servers freeze.
