Johnathan Joseph, Texans Agree on New Contract: Latest Details and Reaction
Cornerback Johnathan Joseph, who was entering the final year of his contract with the Houston Texans, signed an extension with the team Thursday, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
The deal will add two more years to Joseph's contract beyond this season, according to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The two-time Pro Bowler and 2011 second-team Associated Press All-Pro selection started all 16 games for the Texans last season, intercepting two throws, returning one for a touchdown and defending 11 passes. He also forced and recovered two fumbles.
As McClain noted, the 31-year-old will be starting for the fifth consecutive season opposite Kareem Jackson at corner. Per Stephanie Stradley of the Houston Chronicle, Jackson might be the most pleased about this extension outside of Joseph:
With J.J. Watt on the line, Jadeveon Clowney hopefully returning from injury in top form and the pair of Joseph and Jackson in place for the near future—along with 2015 first-round pick Kevin Johnson, another corner—the Texans have solidified the two most important factors in a team's pass defense: the pass rush and the cornerback position.
Joseph hasn't shown signs of losing a step, either, so a two-year extension makes plenty of sense for a Houston team that will be looking to return to the postseason and make a splash once they do in the coming years.
