Clippers Owner Steve Ballmer Shows Off Team's New Logo on 'Conan'

Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer unveiled the team’s new logo on an episode of Conan that will air Wednesday night.

ESPN's Arash Markazi tweeted out a picture:

The Clips are changing their whole look, and the reaction hasn’t been great. B/R’s Dan Carson tore apart the leaked jersey designs (which match what the owner showed off) back in April—and rightfully so.

Ballmer’s reason for changing things around kind of makes sense, though.

“People want a new Clippers,” he said with the excitement of a guy who just had a good set on the bench press. “They want a happy ending to this story. This downtrodden thing, with this kind of funny ruler [Donald Sterling]—boom!—let’s switch it around.”

Shortly after the initial unveiling, L.A. made its new look official online. Markazi shared those pictures, too:
