Jack Wilshere Fined £40,000 by FA for Misconduct: Latest Details, Reaction
Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere has admitted a charge of misconduct and was subsequently fined £40,000 by the Football Association on Wednesday.
A piece on the FA’s official website outlines the reasoning behind the sanction: “Wilshere was found guilty of making and/or inciting certain comments during the club’s open bus trophy tour after their FA Cup final victory, with his conduct deemed to be improper and bringing the game into disrepute.”

The player sang songs about the Gunners’ local rivals Tottenham Hotspur, which contained profanity, during Arsenal's celebrations after winning the FA Cup. As a result, he was charged earlier this month. As noted by the BBC, Wilshere later apologised for his behaviour
Perhaps inspired by Wilshere’s outburst, John Brewin of ESPN.com offered his own insight into how the player may be feeling after this fine:
The Arsenal star didn’t seem to let the off-field distractions hamper his performance levels in England’s recent 3-2 win over Slovenia, turning in a virtuoso display and scoring two goals. He'll be hoping to carry the momentum accrued in these end-of-season encounters into the upcoming domestic campaign.

His quality on the pitch is the side of this player supporters want to see more of; after another season blotted by controversy and injuries, hopefully Wilshere will be making the headlines for football reasons in 2015-16.
