Capital One Cup Schedule 2015-16: Round 1 Dates and Fixtures Revealed

An all-Yorkshire affair is the headline fixture from Tuesday's first-round draw for the Capital One Cup 2015-15, with Leeds United set to travel to Doncaster Rovers. 

Newly relegated Championship side Hull City were drawn away to fourth-tier Accrington Stanley, the Tigers' Premier League fate having been sealed with a final-day 0-0 draw against Manchester United in May.

Hull's top-flight-drop fellows Burnley and Queens Park Rangers will also have to travel for their Capital One Cup openers, to Port Vale and Yeovil Town respectively.

The competition confirmed the full lineup of 36 first-round matches that will be played in the week commencing August 10:

Chelsea are the defending champions for the 2015-16 Capital One Cup, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in March's final for last season's competition.

The Blues will not enter this year's tournament until the third round, along with the other Premier League sides competing in European competition.

Those sides who make it to the second round will have the opportunity to be drawn against the other top-tier sides who are not competing in Europe, and thus enter the Capital One Cup at the second-round stage.

Leeds' clash with Doncaster is not the only all-Yorkshire encounter in the first round, with York City set to host Bradford City in the first round also.

The Bantams had a decent time of it last season in cup competitions, making the third round in the Capital One Cup, and more strikingly, the sixth round of the FA Cup, beating Chelsea and Sunderland on the way.

The full dates and kick-off times for the first round matches will be confirmed by June 23, per Capital One Cup.
