Gerard Pique Gave the Champions League Net He Cut Down to Friend's Wedding

Gerard Pique wasn't simply going full Superman when he cut down the nets and wore them like a cape following Barcelona's Champions League final victory over Juventus. 

Per Mundo Deportivo (h/t 101 Great Goals) Pique knew he wasn't able to attend the wedding of a close friend on Saturday because of Spain's European Championship qualifier against Belarus on Sunday. 

Since he wouldn't be able to turn up at the nuptials because of his international obligations, the Barcelona man sent the net to be displayed at his lifelong friend's wedding. Little bits of the keepsake from Berlin were given out to the guests at the wedding.
