Cristiano Ronaldo Hat-Trick: Twitter Reacts to Star's Performance vs. Armenia

Portugal needed Cristiano Ronaldo to be at his very best after suffering an early deficit against Armenia in their UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier, and the Real Madrid star didn't disappoint, scoring a fantastic hat-trick.

The 30-year-old converted a penalty to pull his side level, took advantage of a defensive miscue to add his second goal and unleashed a devastating bullet from long range to claim his hat-trick. Armenia are in last place in Group I, and the Portuguese team really couldn't afford a loss in this match. As shared by Bleacher Report UK, it was a job well done for Ronaldo:

While the star winger deserves special praise for all three goals, one will stand out in particular. We all know Ronaldo has the ability to score from long range, but the goal he scored to complete his hat-trick was just ridiculous.

Despite allowing a goal in the 72nd minute, Portugal won 3-2, taking the team to 12 points out of five matches and all but ensuring their spot at Euro 2016.

The squad will have its star winger to thank for the result, and while Ronaldo is yet to lift a major trophy on the international level, his form indicates Portugal will be strong candidates to do well at the tournament next year.
