As a way to have some fun with Golden State Warriors fans, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel created a bit to see if the fans would get behind a movement to change the team's nickname to something "less violent."

Like the way most fanbases feel about their team's name, Warriors fans have no interest in seeing a change.

Kimmel sent "community activists" Jack and Becky—the same duo who tried to get a line removed from "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"—to Oracle Arena before Game 2 to elicit support for the cause. Let's just say Warriors fans weren't receptive to the idea.

Some of the fans made their best arguments to defend the "Warriors" nickname. Others just had a good time.

If Golden State can win two more games in the 2015 NBA Finals, the team's fans may be willing to consider a new nickname—you know, like "Champions."
