Stanley Cup Final 2015: Blackhawks vs. Lightning TV Schedule, Game 5 Live Stream

Joe PantornoJun 13, 2015

The Chicago Blackhawks dug deep in the 2015 Stanley Cup Final and did what they've done best for the past five years: won in a clutch situation.

A 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at the United Center tied the series at two games apiece. Things shift back to Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay for Game 5 on Saturday, June 13.

Continue below for the remaining Stanley Cup schedule and to find out why this year's final is already historic.

So far, all four games have been one-goal affairs with winners coming in the third period. This is not a trend between the Lightning and Blackhawks that began in this year's Stanley Cup Final.

Since 2011, the Blackhawks and Lightning's regular-season matchups have been decided by a single goal six times out of eight before this postseason meeting.

This series, while exciting, is also historic, as Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

In 1951, the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Montreal Canadiens in five games. Even the fifth game was a one-goal affair, with the Maple Leafs clinching the championship 3-2. All five of those games went to overtime.

The 1968 final saw the Montreal Canadiens sweep the St. Louis Blues, who were in their first year of existence. The first three games of that series went into overtime.

In this year's playoffs, the Lightning have won or lost by a single goal in 11 of their 17 games. The Blackhawks have been a part of 12 one-goal games out of a possible 15.

Despite the close scorelines, there have been no overtime games in this series. Things could not get any closer without going into extra time, according to NHL Public Relations.

Both teams have combined for eight overtime games this postseason. The last Stanley Cup game to go to overtime was Game 5 of last year's final. Los Angeles' Alec Martinez scored the winner against the New York Rangers that gave the Kings the Cup.

Tampa Bay is 1-2 in Game 5s this year, with their lone win coming against the Rangers last round. The Blackhawks have dropped both of their Game 5s this postseason, losing to Nashville and Anaheim.
