Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the team signed Mosley to a one-year deal.
Mosley has largely been a journeyman tackle during his 10-year career, having spent time with the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Jets, the Cleveland Browns, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Detroit Lions. He appeared in 31 games over the past two years with the Lions, accumulating 42 tackles, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Based on the success Ndamukong Suh had paired next to Mosley last year, James Walker of ESPN.com hinted that the Dolphins significantly improved against the run.
Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald noted that the move was simply an effort to add veterans rather than an indictment of rookie Jordan Phillips.
The AFC East continues to look like one of the best divisions in football, as the Buffalo Bills, the Jets and the Dolphins have all improved this offseason, at least on paper, and the New England Patriots are the defending champions. This latest move from the Dolphins was another indication that they'll be a tough team to beat in the 2015-16 season.
