Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: MLB DraftKings Ideal Lineup Picks for June 8
With just eight games scheduled for Monday night, daily fantasy baseball players are left with limited options at each position. The key will be to make sure to take value where you can find it so you can reasonably field a winning lineup.
Pitchers
Chris Sale, Chicago White Sox ($11,400)

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
You can't really go wrong with either of the top pitchers, as both Chris Sale and Cole Hamels ($10,400) are miles above anyone else on the list. Despite the extra cost, Sale gets the edge thanks to his complete dominance in recent weeks.
Not only has Sale totaled 14.2 scoreless innings with 15 strikeouts in his last two starts, but he is averaging 35.5 fantasy points per game on DraftKings in his last five games. Considering this average over the course of the season would lead all players by more than 10 points, you might as well get on board for this hot streak.
Lance McCullers, Houston Astros ($7,400)

Picking opposing pitchers isn't always a great strategy because only one can get a win, but Lance McCullers could provide fantasy owners with a big day even without the "W."
The rookie pitcher hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his four starts and is coming off a complete-game win with 11 strikeouts and just one run conceded. Against a White Sox lineup that has been one of the worst in the majors this year with just 3.6 runs per game, McCullers has a chance at another big showing.
Mike Leake, Cincinnati Reds ($6,200)
Like McCullers, Mike Leake could have a hard time earning a win while matching up against a top pitcher (Hamels). However, there is a lot of value for the relatively cheap price.
Leake will make his second start in a row against the Philadelphia Phillies, the last one resulting in eight strong innings with nine strikeouts, allowing just two runs on three hits. Philadelphia hasn't gotten any better in the past week, which means you can expect more good numbers from the 27-year-old starter.
Hitters
Josh Donaldson, 3B, Toronto Blue Jays ($5,300)

After losing his 10-game hitting streak Saturday, Josh Donaldson came right back with two more hits Sunday. He is a consistent option to at least get you a few points and is always capable of putting up huge numbers with his home run ability.
Considering his .429 batting average against lefties this season, young Miami Marlins starter Brad Hand could be in for a rough day.
Yonder Alonso, 1B, San Diego Padres ($3,900)
Although injuries have limited Yonder Alonso to just 31 games this year, the first baseman has been outstanding with a .349 batting average and .435 on-base percentage. In five games since returning to the lineup, he is 8-for-20 with a home run.
Even after an 0-for-4 showing on Sunday, Alonso represents good value at this price.
Cameron Maybin, OF, Atlanta Braves ($3,300)
Few hitters have been hotter than Cameron Maybin over the past week. The outfielder had a terrible start to the year but has seen his batting average rise to .296 after totaling 11 hits in the past four games.
You can assume the price will start rising for the speedy outfielder eventually, but this is your chance to get some production for extremely cheap.
Team to Stack
St. Louis Cardinals

Colorado Rockies starter David Hale has survived his two major league starts this season without too much damage, although his FIP of 5.09 and his Triple-A ERA of 5.97 in six 2015 starts indicate he is likely headed for disaster eventually.
The St. Louis Cardinals would love to knock around the inexperienced pitcher in hitter-friendly Coors Field. With consistent hitters like Matt Carpenter, Jhonny Peralta, Kolten Wong, Matt Holliday and others, you could be in for a big fantasy day.
