5 Players Borussia Dortmund Should Clear out in 2015 Summer Transfer Window
Thomas Tuchel has now officially arrived at the Westfalenstadion as Borussia Dortmund's 56th manager and boy does he have a tall task on his hands.
Sure, the former Bundesliga champions still have a squad full of talented individuals but what Jurgen Klopp has left in his wake is a team that better resemble the remnants of a bomb explosion. Shrapnel, casualties and an almighty amount of chaos currently reside within this team.
As such, Tuchel's reign must surely begin with a spot of spring cleaning as we approach the summer transfer window. Dortmund need to drop a large chunk of this squad almost immediately if they want to hit the ground running next season.
Roman Weidenfeller

First things first: Dortmund desperately need a new goalkeeper and that means quite simply that Roman Weidenfeller has got to go.
Sure, the 34-year-old has been a loyal servant to the club over the course of his 13 years in Dortmund, but he's simply hit a point where he can no longer confidently hold down that No.1 jersey.
Although Tuchel may be a little wary of pulling up too many foundations this summer, the position of goalkeeper needs a drastic upgrade if Dortmund are to push on next season.
Marcel Schmelzer

Where Weidenfeller was once one of the best goalkeepers in Germany and has only recently begun to look his age, Marcel Schmelzer continues to hold down his role as left-back despite never really being good enough for the position in the first place.
It's not so much that Schmelzer has been getting worse over the past 12 months. He's been consistently average over the course of the past season and even had a handful of good games under Klopp, but he has quite clearly been the weak spot within this Dortmund defence for quite some time.
Klopp had a soft spot for him and so Schmelzer was able to keep his role at the Westfalenstadion, but Tuchel should, or indeed must, find an alternative this summer.
Lukasz Piszczek

On the other flank of Dortmund's defence we have another full-back who may well have to find another club this summer. Yes, it's time Dortmund cashed in on Lukasz Piszczek.
Although the Polish international was at one point one of the best right-backs in European football, it's now been at least two seasons since we've really seen anything quite like that form at Dortmund.
Whether injured or just not on form, Piszczek has long since lost any privileges he once had in this side. At 30 years old there's very little left for the full-back to stick around for at Dortmund.
Ilkay Gundogan

Although Ilkay Gundogan may populate this list despite still holding all the talent and skill to succeed at Dortmund, it should now be blatantly obvious to fans of the club that the German midfielder should be sold this summer.
Gundogan has left very little to rumour or speculation over where he feels his future lies, with Dortmund now just an afterthought for the 24-year-old as the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United continue to circle overhead.
Fortunately for Tuchel and the club there is plenty of life and hope in this squad should Gundogan part ways this summer. At this point they'd be best simply cashing in on his talents and looking elsewhere in the market or squad for a more viable option.
Adrian Ramos

Last and, perhaps in this case, most certainly least we have Adrian Ramos. The Colombian striker has been a complete and utter waste of time this season and unless Tuchel believes he can get the 29-year-old back to his Hertha Berlin form then there's very little reason for Ramos to be at the club next season.
Ciro Immobile will come under similar scrutiny but what the Italian striker has over Ramos is age and promise. Tuchel will probably prefer to see what he can do with the former Torino striker rather than try to reinvigorate a former Bundesliga scorer.
If a decent offer comes in for Ramos then Dortmund would be fools not to consider it.
