Arsenal Transfer News: Big-Name Rumours Linked with Emirates Stadium Switches
Plans to reinforce Arsene Wenger's squad at both ends of the pitch are underway, as speculation suggests moves for Porto attacker Jackson Martinez and Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera are in the offing.
The Gunners are among the list of clubs to have been associated with Martinez for several years, and Tom Oliver of Metro reports Arsenal are now "clear to sign" the forward after Porto rejected a bid from Atletico Madrid.

Martinez has been at the Estadio do Dragao for almost three years and, similar to the likes of Hulk and Radamel Falcao before him, has been expected to depart Porto at some point.
According to Jan Hagen of Portugoal.net, Martinez recently told Radio Caracol that he has "been given permission to leave" the club, news that will assuredly be of interest to any Premier League suitors.
The 28-year-old enjoyed yet another prolific campaign in Portugal's top flight this season, scoring 21 goals in 30 appearances, but it's his record of seven goals in eight Champions League games that perhaps stands out.
David Amoyal of GianlucaDiMarzio.com provides further evidence to what lies ahead for Martinez, backing up the striker's quotes in regards to a summer exit:
Olivier Giroud enjoyed a fruitful campaign as long as he was fit, but Danny Welbeck had a difficult maiden term in north London, and it's possible Wenger may seek another option up front.
Oliver's report links a sum of £25.7 million to Martinez's signature, which is by no means a small amount but far from beyond the ambition Arsenal have started to show in recent years.
Martinez is currently away with Colombia on Copa America duty, but Wenger may have to move swiftly to seal the player's services, lest he see a rival steal in first.
Muslera Interest May Initiate Goalkeeper Merry-Go-Round

The uncertainty over Arsenal's goalkeeper hierarchy appears to be growing once again after it emerged the club could be seeking to add another stopper to their ranks.
Manchester United are also examining the Galatasaray No. 1, but the Gunners are hopeful of taking the player to England's capital for a sum of £15 million, according to Metro's George Bellshaw.
The 28-year-old has been in phenomenal form for Gala this season, and after the seed of doubt was planted by Wojciech Szczesny following his smoking controversy this past season, changes could be made at the back.
Last month, Muslera had a superstar performance against Mersin Idman Yurdu, as shown by OptaCan, earning rave reviews and the attention of some of Europe's biggest outfits:
Szczesny has long been regarded as the No. 1 at the Emirates, but this season saw last summer's arrival, David Ospina, vie for the starting spot between Arsenal's posts.
One might argue that neither option offers a genuinely world-class figure in goal, something that might be regarded as one of the pieces missing in Arsenal's puzzle as they seek to launch a Premier League title charge.

Former Lazio ace Muslera has made more than 150 appearances for Gala across all competitions since moving to Istanbul in 2011 and is also a key component for the Uruguay national team.
Wenger isn't the type to spend in excess unless it's really required, but should the tactician deem either of his current 'keepers unfit for duty, Muslera would assuredly provide some stellar competition for the starring role.
