Jason Garrison scored the game-winning goal off a deflection on the power play midway through the third period to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 4-3 home win over the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The series is now tied one game apiece and shifts to Chicago for a crucial Game 3 Monday night.

Garrison’s game-winner is likely to garner much of the attention, but it was backup goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy who might well have been the hero of the night.

He made five key saves in the final seven-plus minutes in relief of starting netminder Ben Bishop, who was in the locker room receiving treatment, presumably for an injury.

It’s unclear at this time what troubled Bishop, or if he’ll miss any time in the series.

Cedric Paquette opening the scoring just under 13 minutes into the game to give the Lightning a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes.

The lead held up until just past the five-minute mark of the second period when back-to-back goals from Andrew Shaw and—controversially due to possible goaltender interference from Marian Hossa—Teuvo Teravainen gave Chicago its first lead at 2-1.

Nikita Kucherov made sure the Blackhawks’ lead would be short lived, and Tyler Johnson, who was slumping coming into the game, gave Tampa Bay a 3-2 lead heading to the decisive period.

Brent Seabrook blasted one past Bishop early in the period to once again knot things up.

But it was Garrison’s deflection of Victor Hedman’s shot that was the final marker of the night to tie the series.
