French Open 2015 Schedule: Sunday TV Coverage and Live Stream Guide
A memorable two weeks at the 2015 French Open will come to a fitting end Sunday, with Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka clashing in the men's final.
Both players seek their first titles at Roland Garros, and Djokovic hopes the third time is the charm. He's come up short twice in the final but already dispatched the man who beat him in both instances—Rafael Nadal—in this year's quarterfinals.
A win Sunday for the top-seeded Serbian would make him the eighth men's player to ever complete the career Grand Slam. Meanwhile, Wawrinka hopes to top Djokovic just as he did in the 2014 Australian Open en route to claiming the title. This would be his second Slam win.
Here's a look at everything to know for Sunday's match.

Novak Djokovic vs. Stan Wawrinka

There's a striking level of consistency when Wawrinka and Djokovic have met in best-of-five matches, and it's one that signals the esteemed Philippe-Chatrier court is in store for an exciting marathon match Sunday.
While the two often decide things in straight sets when playing best-of-three, they have combined for some of the most memorable Grand Slam matches elsewhere. Each of their last four major meetings have gone the distance—two finished on sets of 9-7 and 12-10.
Just as well, neither player looks likely to budge on the incredible form each is showing this tournament. Djokovic took straight-sets wins throughout his draw prior to allowing Andy Murray two sets late in their semifinal, while Wawrinka has only dropped two sets as well this Paris fortnight.
For most players, it wouldn't matter how well things are going. Djokovic has mercilessly dismantled some of the most in-form players over the last two weeks. But for Wawrinka, he's overcome this test before—at the 2014 Australian Open, where he won his lone Slam title—and his recollection of that shows he can do it again, per Matt Trollope of RolandGarros.com:
"Before I'm on the court I'm thinking, what am I going to do to defeat him? I watch his matches. He wins easily... A year ago in Australia he had won three matches in a row, and I was thinking, What am I going to do? But the next thing to do is to play my best tennis, don't forget that my game is bothering the top players, and when I start and I'm in form, I can perhaps seize this opportunity to defeat them all.
"
That lone glimmer of success is just about all Wawrinka can hold on to when it comes to topping Djokovic. Including that feat, the Swiss star is just 3-17 all time against the world No. 1.
Wawrinka has been here before—not a French Open final, but a Slam final—and won't be fazed, but there's no denying a "David vs. Goliath" complex to the matchup as Sky Sports News showcased the discrepancy in their overall numbers:
With that said, few players outside of the Big Four can say they've won 17 of 57 sets against one of the sport's all-time greats. Even in spots like the 2013 U.S. Open and 2014 Australian Open, Wawrinka gave Djokovic all he could handle in five-set thrillers.
Wawrinka can also lean on a recent streak of success in final appearances, as Tennis View Magazine's Chris Skelton observed:
If he's going to continue that streak one more match, though, it's going to take denying some serious history.
If he wins three more sets, Djokovic will join one of the most exclusive clubs in the history of the sport by securing a title at all four Slam events. He's slain the dragon in beating Nadal—who stuffed Djokovic at Roland Garros in 2012, 2013 and 2014—and is on an illustrious 28-match winning streak. It would give him title No. 9 for his career, with chances 10 and 11 coming before 2015 is up.
Wawrinka is certainly rolling at Roland Garros, but Djokovic is playing arguably the best tennis of his life. That's saying a lot, by the way.
The chips are stacked against Wawrinka and the opponent is as sizable as they come. But you can't expect anything but a furious fight as he chases his second Grand Slam title.
