Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: MLB FanDuel Ideal Lineup for June 6

Richard SantamariaJun 6, 2015

We were on the right side of FanDuel's 50/50 leagues yesterday.  On a high-scoring day, we were in the 60th percentile or better (in most June 5 daily leagues) with 37.5 points.  Carlos Martinez's gem at Dodger Stadium was the difference.

As always, confirm that your chosen players are in their respective lineups, and stay away from games that may be rained out.  An excellent website for lineups and weather is Rotowire.com.

The following ideal lineup is for June 6 and will be for FanDuel leagues starting at 12:05 p.m. EDT.

P Clayton Kershaw, $11,700

We're paying a premium for one of MLB's best pitchers in Dodger Stadium.  Kershaw has averaged 13.5 FanDuel points per game in 11 starts.  In his last four, the Dodgers' ace is averaging 16.25.  The power lefty has 90 strikeouts in just 72 innings pitched.

C Salvador Perez, $2200

1 of 8

Perez may be slumping, as his batting average has dropped to .272, but he is solid offensively, batting .284 and slugging .432 for his career.  The Royals' catcher will make our lineup often at $2200.  He will bat seventh today against Wandy Rodriguez (3.55 ERA).

1B Adam Lind, $2500

2 of 8

The price ($2500) is right for Lind, who is batting .290, slugging .517 and has nine home runs in 176 at-bats.  He will face the Twins and J.R. Graham, a converted reliever.

2B Danny Espinosa, $2300

3 of 8

Danny Espinosa is seventh among second basemen (minimum 140 at-bats) with a .452 slugging percentage.  He is also tied for third among second basemen with seven home runs.  At $2300, he is value power.  Washington's shortstop will be facing the Cubs' Jason Hammel (2.82 ERA).

3B Maikel Franco, $2700

4 of 8

Franco provides more value power.  Philadelphia's third baseman has homered three times in the last four games and has averaged 6.625 FanDuel points in those contests.  He will be facing the Giants' Madison Bumgarner (3.12 ERA), but all we need is one bad pitch.

SS Andrelton Simmons, $2300

5 of 8

Andrelton Simmons continues to receive no respect from FanDuel.  He is sixth among shortstops with at least 40 games played, averaging 2.2 FanDuel points per game, yet he remains at $2300.  Atlanta's shortstop, fresh off his 5.25-point performance against the Pirates yesterday, faces a cold Jeff Locke (5.34 ERA).

Outfielder Giancarlo Stanton, $5300

6 of 8

We have the best slugger in the majors at Coors Field.  We had to pay the $5300.  Giancarlo looks to add to his home run total (18) against recent call-up Chris Rusin.

Outfielder Adam Jones, $3000

7 of 8

Jones' price fell precipitously after a dry spell, but he seems to have his groove back, homering in his last two games.  It's time to jump on the train before his price rises.  Jones will be facing Cleveland's Danny Salazar (3.79 ERA).

Outfielder Gregory Polanco, $3000

8 of 8

We love consistency in our lineup, and at the nice price of $3000, Gregory Polanco gives us just that.  The Pirates' outfielder has averaged 4.5 FanDuel points in his last six contests.  Polanco will face the Braves' Julio Teheran (4.87 ERA), who is struggling, allowing 11 earned runs in his last two games.
