Barcelona Get Luis Figo Blocked from Playing in Legends Match in Berlin

Sorry, UEFA, but Luis Figo is not a Barcelona "legend."

That is according to the club, who have had the Portuguese star blocked from playing in an exhibition game in Berlin ahead of the Champions League final. 

Figo was due to play on the Juve & Barca Legends team against a World All-Stars XI in the Ultimate Champions Match on Friday. 

The Portuguese starred for Barcelona for five seasons between 1995 and 2000, helping them to win two Primera Liga titles.

However, he moved to fierce rivals Real Madrid in a then-world-record deal and became a hated figure to many at Camp Nou. 

As noted by the Telegraph:

When Figo first returned to the Nou Camp the whistles that greeted his arrival on the field were louder than a jumbo jet taking off. Two years later he was back and among the objects thrown at him was a pig's head. Lovely.

The Juve & Barca Legends squad for the game is, according to UEFA: Edwin van der Sar, Ciro Ferrara, Ludovic Giuly, Alessandro Del Piero, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Edmilson, Fabio Cannavaro, David Trezeguet, Mark van Bommel, Gianluca Zambrotta, Deco, Eric Abidal and Christian Vieri.
