NBA Finals 2015: Cavaliers vs. Warriors TV Schedule and Game 1 Live Stream
Although it takes four victories to win an NBA championship, Game 1 of the NBA Finals will be extremely important for both sides.
The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers each come into the series playing extremely well while facing relatively few challenges on the court over the past few weeks. Both sides are loaded with talent with one superstar leading the way with incredible all-around numbers. Most importantly, they each have tons of confidence at this point.
Whichever squad is able to earn a Game 1 win will be able to hold the mental edge going forward, which could be the difference in the series. ESPN Stats and Info provides a look at how important the first game has been at this level:
You can be certain each side is going to give everything it has to get the early lead in this series.

The big story in this series will be the individual matchup of Stephen Curry and LeBron James. While these two men won't be defending each other, everyone will still compare their numbers at the end of the day to see which superstar was better.
Of course, the fact they won't guard each other is a major factor in this series. James is one of the best athletes in the world and is a difficult assignment for anyone, but the Warriors can at least slow him down with an elite defender in Draymond Green.
Green was runner-up to Kawhi Leonard for the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award, and he has the physicality necessary to handle the four-time MVP. He also has plenty of faith in his team's ability to succeed.
"Obviously it's LeBron, but we didn't just stumble here or wake up one morning and found ourselves in the Finals," Green said earlier in the week, via Marcus Thompson II of the San Jose Mercury News. "We are here for a reason. There will be no shortage of confidence because we're playing LeBron."
With Green likely spending the most time on James and Andrew Bogut remaining inside as a rim protector, it won't be as easy for the forward to score.
On the other hand, Curry could have some big games against Kyrie Irving, who is still struggling to recover from a knee injury, via NBA.com:
Another advantage Golden State will have in Game 1 is the location. The Warriors have been great everywhere this year, but they have been especially dominant at Oracle Arena, via Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders:
The fans have been patiently waiting for years for an opportunity to watch a game of this magnitude, and you can be certain they will be loud and rowdy from the opening tip.
Even if veteran players like James or J.R. Smith are not intimidated by the situation, the younger contributors on the Cavaliers will not be as confident. The environment and the tough Warriors defense could lead to some poor shooting throughout the night.
Every game in this series should be close, but Golden State should get out to the early lead with a Game 1 win.
Prediction: Warriors 98, Cavaliers 91
