Memorial Tournament 2015: Tee Times, Dates, TV Schedule and Prize Money
Following a disappointing showing in his hometown event, world No. 2 Jordan Spieth will be looking to bounce back against a strong field in the 2015 Memorial Tournament. Although, righting the ship after his tie for 30th in the AT&T Byron Nelson won't be easy, as the Texas native will be competing at the always challenging Muirfield Village Golf Club.
The Memorial never fails to boast a star-studded cast, and this year will be no different. Spieth is the field's highest-ranked player, and he's joined by the likes of Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler and others. Even Tiger Woods will be ending his brief hiatus to play in the event, marking his first PGA Tour appearance since his tie for 69th in The Players Championship.
Muirfield Village is a difficult venue for even the most skilled professionals, and the Jack Nicklaus design's rolling terrain, well-placed hazards, thick rough and undulating greens can make an off round turn into a nightmare. According to Weather.com, the elements could come into play as well, as a strong chance of rain is expected Friday and Sunday.
As we anxiously await the Memorial to kick off, let's take a look at the event's essential viewing information, prize money and some notable Thursday tee times.

Stars to Watch

Spieth will be aiming to make up some ground on a struggling world No. 1 Rory McIlroy. The 21-year-old phenom seemingly cured his post-Masters hangover with a tie for second in the Crowne Plaza Invitational, but he followed that up with a lackluster showing in the Byron Nelson.
While Spieth hasn't been overly consistent of late, Muirfield Village suits his game nicely, as the importance of hitting greens and avoiding potential three-putt situations are key. This season, the world No. 2 ranks first on the PGA Tour in par-four scoring, fifth in one-putt percentage and third in three-putt avoidance.

Another promising young American to watch in the Memorial is Rickie Fowler. After a brilliant run late in the 2014 season, Fowler's game went south, and he fell by the wayside. Then he produced an epic playoff victory in The Players Championship, catapulting himself up to No. 7 in the world.
Despite a fair amount of success on the PGA Tour, Fowler has never produced a multiwin season. With his first victory in 2015 coming rather early, he'll have a great chance to buck that trend this year. The 26-year-old is no stranger to playing well at Muirfield Village, posting a runner-up finish in the Memorial back in 2010.
Watch out for world No. 21 Kevin Na in the Memorial. The 31-year-old is playing some stellar golf right now, notching five top-10 finishes this year and coming off a tie for 10th in the Crowne Plaza Invitational. He played well at Memorial last year, finishing second, and he ranks third on the PGA Tour in par-four scoring and tied for second in par-five scoring.

One of the biggest names in this week's field is Woods. No stranger to scoring well at Muirfield Village, the former world No. 1 (and current world No. 172) is a five-time champion in the Memorial and the only player to win the event more than three times. He last won at Muirfield Village back in 2012, besting the field by two strokes with a nine-under showing.
This will mark Woods' fifth appearance on the PGA Tour this season. He began in ominous fashion, showcasing swing troubles and yips around the green only to miss the cut in the Phoenix Open and withdraw from the Farmers Insurance Open. He appeared to get things going again at the Masters, finishing tied for 17th, but followed that up with a tie for 69th in The Players Championship.
We'll see exactly how focused Woods is this week, as his preparations for the 2015 U.S. Open have already begun—he's been practicing at Chambers Bay in the days leading up to the Memorial. Still, whenever Tiger is in the field, there will be plenty of media attention. It will be interesting to see what his fluctuating form produces this time around.
