Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: MLB FanDuel Ideal Lineup for June 3

Richard SantamariaJun 2, 2015

UPDATE: Hanley Ramirez will not play in the second game of Boston's double-header.  We will substitute him with the Dodgers' Alexander Guerrero.

Despite Noah Syndergaard's implosion, we were in the 85th percentile or better (in most June 2 FanDuel daily leagues) with 37 points. Thor was blasted by the Padres but did strike out 10 batters in four innings of work.

As always, confirm that your chosen players are in their respective lineups, and stay away from games that may be rained out. An excellent website for lineups and weather is Rotowire.com.

The following ideal lineup is for June 3 and will be for FanDuel leagues starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT.

P Hector Santiago, $7,900

While I would love Corey Kluber ($11,000), I could not build an adequate lineup with my remaining dollars. Santiago provides much better value. In 10 starts, hitters are batting a measly .212 against the Angels' pitcher and he sports a 2.18 ERA while fanning 57 in 62 innings. The Rays will present him with the 18th-best team slugging percentage in the majors.

C Derek Norris, $2,800

1 of 8

Norris hit his fifth home run of the season Tuesday night. He is now batting .287 with a .468 slugging percentage. While he is playing in Petco Park, he is a bargain at $2,800 when so many catchers are overpriced.

1B Albert Pujols, $3,700

2 of 8

Fat Bat Albert homered again on Tuesday and his price keeps climbing. He now has 14 home runs for the season and it is very difficult to move him out of our lineup. He will face the Rays' Nathan Karns (3.32 ERA).

2B Dustin Pedroia, $3,100

3 of 8

Pedroia is a solid hitter going up against the struggling Trevor May (5.07 ERA) in Fenway Park. This is a scenario we like for $3,100.

3B Nolan Arenado, $4,200

4 of 8

Arenado played both games of a doubleheader on Tuesday and we have our fingers crossed for Wednesday. The Rockies third baseman has 13 home runs this season and has homered in six of Colorado's last 10 games. He will be playing in Coors Field.

SS Marcus Semien, $2,700

5 of 8

Semien has been cold as of late, allowing for a $2,700 value buy. Oakland's shortstop will be facing an inconsistent Anibal Sanchez (5.75 ERA) and is a threat to homer as well as steal.

Outfielder Joc Pederson, $4,100

6 of 8

Pederson's price did not rise enough after homering in each game of Tuesday's doubleheader. The young outfielder now has 16 home runs this season for the Dodgers. He loves Coors Field and will get one more shot on Wednesday.

Outfielder Hanley Ramirez, $3,700

7 of 8

Ramirez's bat is warming up and he will be facing Trevor May (5.07 ERA) in Fenway Park. We are doubling up on Red Sox and hope to get some hits over and against the Green Monster.

UPDATE: Ramirez is not playing in Boston's evening game so we will be using the Dodgers' Alex Guerrero in Colorado.  He hit a pinch-hit grand slam last night and we hope for more of the same tonight.

Outfielder Chris Colabello, $2,800

8 of 8

The 31-year-old does not have much of a track record but he is having a good season. Riding a 12-game hit streak, he will face the Nats' Taylor Jordan (5.79 ERA). Colabello is the special of the day.
