On Tuesday night, the Texas Rangers (27-25) defeated the Chicago White Sox (23-27) 15-2 in the first game of a three-game series at Globe Life Park.

For the Rangers, Colby Lewis had a dominant performance on the mound. Lewis surrendered two runs in seven innings to bounce back after a getting rocked in his previous two starts. With the win, Lewis improved his record to 5-3.

Chicago sent out Jeff Samardzija to start tonight's game and the veteran right-hander couldn't handle the hot hitting of the Rangers, allowing nine runs in just five innings of work.

The biggest story of the evening was Rangers rookie Joey Gallo, who starred in his MLB debut in relief of injured Adian Beltre.

Gallo had a debut night to remember registering three hits, one homer and four RBI. Gallo finished a triple away from hitting for the cycle.

Gallo was the key cog in the Rangers hitting machine, which registered 15 runs despite the absences of Josh Hamilton and Beltre.

The White Sox were without Jose Abreu who missed a third consecutive game with an injured right index finger according to CBS Sports' Michael Hurcomb

Game two of series tomorrow will feature pitchers Chris Sale (CHW) vs. Nick Martinez (TEX)

The White Sox hope to use this game to get on track as they look to get into the thick of things in the competitive AL Central.

The Rangers extended their win streak to four games Tuesday night and look to continue move up in the AL West.
