Alabama Football Recruiting Offers of the Week

Marc TorrenceJun 1, 2015

Don’t call it the calm before the storm.

A week before Alabama hosts a long list of prospects for its first of two summer camps, Crimson Tide coaches sent out six offers last week to prospects literally from coast to coast.

There should be a wave of offers this week to the prospects that catch coaches’ eyes in Tuscaloosa this week, but that doesn’t mean it was all quiet on the recruiting front leading up to it.

Here’s a rundown of Alabama’s offers this week:

Kendall Randolph, 2017 offensive tackle from Madison, Alabama

A year after Levi Randolph finished a standout year on the basketball court, his brother could come in and do the same on the football field.

Levi was a four-year starter for Anthony Grant, who set the program record for games played and was second-team All-SEC his senior season. His brother is a 2017 offensive tackle whose recruitment is starting to pick up.

He doesn’t have a star rating yet on 247, but his coach sees him as a top player.

"We typically don't dress 10th graders, but he was one of our most improved players as the season progressed,” Bob Jones coach Kevin Rose told al.com’s Wesley Sinor. “He does a really good job of locking down on linebackers and in pass protection because he's so long. He has a 6-8 wingspan. He could probably improve on pulling and getting up in the hole, but the sky's the limit for him.

"He's a guy who could definitely be an NFL guy down the road."

Kendall holds offers from Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He’s already getting advice from his older brother.

“I let him know as soon as it happened,” Kendall told scout.com’s John Garcia, Jr. “He said, ‘this is a great place to be.’ He talked about how good the academics are and left me with a, ‘Roll Tide!’”

Tristan Gebbia, 2017 quarterback from Calabasas, California

Alabama offered its sixth quarterback for the 2017 cycle, this time sending Lane Kiffin out to the West Coast.

“It feels great,” Gebbia told 247Sports’ Hank South. “You know, Alabama is one of the best college football programs to ever exist and it’s real humbling to receive an offer from them.

“Coach (Lane) Kiffin came out to practice a couple weeks ago, then I guess he talked to Coach (Nick) Saban, then I got to call him on the phone today and he offered me the scholarship.”

Gebbia, like Randolph, doesn’t have a star rating yet, but his offer list is impressive and growing. He holds offers from Arizona State, Louisville, Miami and others.

He’s also Alabama’s only current 2017 offer with no star rating yet. The rest are all 4-star or higher.

“I think they have a real good shot being up there with the other great schools that have been talking to me,” Gebbia told South. “I’m going to see how everything goes, hopefully I’ll be able to go out there a couple of times and see it.

“They’ve probably won more in my lifetime than almost any other team. Their tradition of excellence, and their overall toughness isn’t present anywhere else.”

Other offers from the week

Noah DeHond, 2017 3-star offensive tackle from Highstown, New Jersey

Cyrus Fagan, 2017 4-star safety from Daytona Beach, Florida

Kobe Jones, 2016 3-star defensive tackle from Starkville, Mississippi

Marcus Tatum, 2016 3-star offensive tackle from Daytona Beach, Florida
