MiLB Player Hits 3 HR (2 Grand Slams), Notches 12 RBI in His Team Debut

Kyle NewportMay 31, 2015

Appearing in his first game at High-A, Lancaster JetHawks left fielder Derek Fisher proved the Houston Astros made the right move in promoting him.

The 21-year-old led his team to a 16-3 victory over the High Desert Mavericks with a game for the ages. He went 4-for-6 with three home runs—including two grand slams—and 12 RBI. Amazingly, he hit all three home runs before the third inning was over.

Fisher got his big night started with a solo shot in the top of the first inning. From there, things only got better. He came to the plate with the bases loaded in the second inning, the third inning and the seventh inning. Each time, he cleared the bases.
