Who Has Been Arsenal's Player of the Month?
Despite the recent 2-1 lost to Manchester United, Arsenal have had an emphatic start to the season, silencing all critics and non-believers of the North London side.
Arsenal started with a 6-0 opening day thrashing of a feeble Everton, then a 2-0 win over Celtic in the Champions League qualification, backed up with a 4-1 defeat of frail Portsmouth, then followed up with a 3-1 win over Celtic in the second leg of the Champions League qualification.
All of the Arsenal squad has performed strongly this season, most notably the new boy, Thomas Vermaelen. The only summer signing for Arsenal has been a revelation at the heart of the Arsenal defence, pulling off a number of fine performances.

The Belguim international, who came from Ajax for £10 million, has helped cure the central defensive problems that occurred frequently last season for the Gunners. The 23-year-old has also struck up a successful partnership with William Gallas.
Another promising performer so far this season for Wenger's men has been Alexandre Song. The Cameroon midfielder had a doughty season in 2008-2009 but was often criticised. But come the new season, the footballing world will witness a new Alexandre Song.
The nephew of Rigober Song has taken on the defensive role of the Arsenal midfield with confidence and has shown he is capable of becoming the new Patrick Vieira.
Many knew that after Andrei Arshavin had sufficient experience of Premier League football he would be a star. Now that he has experienced six months of English football, he is ready to wow the footballing world (not that he hasn't already).
Since becoming a Gooner in the January transfer window last season, the Russian has impressed right from the word "go." Now it is his turn to lead the Arsenal attack and help Arsene Wenger win a trophy. Since the start of 2009-2010, Arshavin has been a constant threat to defences and a tireless worker.
William Gallas has also been a consistent performer since the opening of '09-'10. The French defender was outstanding toward the end of last season.
Not only has the former captain been terrific in defence, he is also the club's top scorer this season with four goals.
