Stephen Garcia, you could say, led the Gamecocks to a 7-3 win over the N.C. State Wolfpack. But in all honesty, the defense won that game.

Garcia was 13-22 with 148 yards and one INT and didn't look comfortable at all.

The rushing game provided 108 offensive yards with Brian Maddox gaining 63 yards on 23 carries with the only touchdown of the game.

The defense was the key to this game with six sacks that put pressure all over the N.C. State QB.

Eric Norwood walked away with Game MVP honors after a great start to his senior year.

Cliff Matthews also had two QB sacks with Norwood with D. Taylor and N. Pepper each picking up one sack.

South Carolina managed to get 258 yards of total offense while the Wolfpack had a terrible 133 yards.

No doubt about it, the Gamecock offense wasn't good and will be tested next week when they play Georgia away.

The defense was awesome but the Wolfpack offense is not really that good.
