On Wednesday night, the Chicago Blackhawks offense exploded for five goals. Chicago bested the Anaheim Ducks 5-2 to force the deciding game in their series.

Andrew Shaw scored two goals for the Hawks—the last one being an empty-netter—to help secure the victory. It was a clutch win for the team looking for its third Stanley Cup in six years.

On Tuesday night, it was the New York Rangers’ turn to stave off elimination and force a Game 7. The Rangers had their own goal-scoring explosion, as they handed the Tampa Bay Lightning a 7-3 defeat in Game 6. New York got a hat trick from Derick Brassard to pace the high-scoring effort.

The Presidents' Trophy winners kept their dream of reaching a second straight Stanley Cup Final alive.

It’ll all come down to one game in both conferences. Here’s a look at the viewing information for both Game 7s.

The Chicago Blackhawks dominated the draw on Wednesday, and it helped set the tone for their big win. In total, the Blackhawks won 33 of the 50 faceoffs in the game. Despite being outshot (32-23) and outhit (43-38), the Blackhawks were able to capitalize on their control of the puck and opportunities to push the series to a seventh and deciding game.

Over the last six periods—if you count the overtime session after Game 5—Chicago has outscored the Ducks 9-4 and won 72 of 115 faceoffs. If the Ducks want to stop the momentum, they have to win a higher percentage of the draws.

Tampa Bay vs. New York: Takeaways

In all but one of the Rangers’ wins over the Lightning in this series, they have had more takeaways. As a team that struggled to find the back of the net in the conference semifinals, the Rangers need the extra opportunities to find their scoring rhythm. In Game 6, the Rangers had nine takeaways to seven for the Lightning. Tampa Bay also had 11 giveaways to eight for the Rangers.

To control Game 7, the Rangers and the Lightning have to take care of the puck and take advantage of mishandles by their opponents.
