Bautista Exits vs. Phillies

Bautista pulled up lame after running out a ground ball in the bottom of the eighth inning and left the game, per Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com. He went 0-for-4 on the night.
Bautista gave an update to his fans following the game:
Bautista, 34, went into the day hitting .234 with 21 home runs, 66 RBI and a .370 OBP. He's battled intermittent shoulder issues, which required a cortisone shot in May.
The pain has, in part, caused his numbers to dip in nearly every major category.
Given the team's strong run-scoring prowess, odds are that Toronto could survive a short absence. Josh Donaldson and Edwin Encarnacion are elite power hitters whom any team would take in the middle of its order. And the Blue Jays just traded for slugger Troy Tulowitzki as well. Losing Bautista is a blow, but it is not an insurmountable one.
Of course, that changes if the prognosis is worse than expected.
