There's also a special bonus for gamers who pre-order the game, as Blake notes they will get to play NBA 2K16 four days before it officially drops.
It had previously been reported by Owen Good of Polygon.com that Stephen Curry, James Harden and Kevin Durant would be on the cover individually, and film director/noted New York Knicks fan Spike Lee will have "a role developing NBA 2K16's career mode."
The NBA 2K series has become one of the standard-bearers for all sports games. It's ability to add sparkling new features with top-shelf graphics, realistic player motion and a captivating career mode are second to none.
Based on the addition of Lee, it seems that 2K Sports isn't pulling any punches for next year's release. Now, fans just have to wait four months before diving into the action.
