Emilio Estevez (Gordon Bombay) Tweets Support for Ducks to Beat Blackhawks
Although the Mighty Ducks nickname and sweaters are long gone, the Ducks still fly together.
Emilio Estevez, who is best known as coach Gordon Bombay from The Mighty Ducks trilogy, showed that Ducks always stand behind one another. With the Anaheim Ducks facing the Chicago Blackhawks in a pivotal Game 5 of the Western Conference Final (series tied 2-2) on Monday night, Estevez tweeted out some words of encouragement:
"GO GET 'EM TONIGHT DUCKS!!! @AnaheimDucks#GordonBombay

Update from Tuesday, May 26
Estevez tweeted sporadically throughout the game. Here are some of the highlights:
"DUCKS: 4!!!!!! HAWKS....two.....QUACK! QUACK! QUACK! @AnaheimDucks @NHL
— Emilio Estevez (@EMILIOTHEWAY) May 26, 2015"
"Cray Cray at Honda Center 2nite! OT!! Yes, it's time for the Flying V!!! Let's go DUCKS!!! @AnaheimDucks @NHL
— Emilio Estevez (@EMILIOTHEWAY) May 26, 2015"
When the Ducks pulled out a 5-4 victory in overtime, Estevez went wild:
"SUCK IT, WINDY CITY WINDBAGS!!! DUCKS WIN! DUCKS WIN! DUCKS WIN! @AnaheimDucks @NHL
— Emilio Estevez (@EMILIOTHEWAY) May 26, 2015"
--End of Update--
The only thing that would have made this tweet better is if he had included a video of himself leading the "quack" chant:
Hopefully the Ducks will return the love and break out the legendary "Flying V" at some point in Game 5.
