Oriol Servia Honors David Letterman with Sweet Tribute on Indy 500 Car
David Letterman retired from the Late Show on May 20, 2015, following 33 years in late-night television.
To honor the TV legend, driver Oriol Servia decorated the side of his Indianapolis 500 car with the show's "Late Show with David Letterman" insignia and a caricature of the 68-year-old. The talk-show host has been honored with plenty during his time on the air, but this one takes the cake.
"[Of] everything that's happened, that's the highlight of my career. It's like Andrew Luck wearing 'Letterman' across his jersey. You know, it's crazy," Letterman said, via David Lindquist of the Indianapolis Star.
Letterman is the co-owner of the car and the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team informed Letterman of the tribute earlier this weekend.
