North Carolina State's Preston Palmeiro, son of former MLB player Rafael Palmeiro, sent his team to the ACC tournament title game with a wild walk-off "Little League home run" against Miami Friday night.

In a 4-4 game in the bottom of the 12th inning, Palmeiro launched a ball to the opposite field that bounced off the wall. It looked like a double, but Miami's Carl Chester overthrew the second baseman, sending Palmeiro to third base. The ball kept rolling in foul territory, and the third base coach waved Palmeiro home.

The throw beat Palmeiro to the plate, but catcher Zack Collins couldn't handle it. "I kept telling everybody I was going to end it. I guess that does the job, so I'll take it," Palmeiro told Joe Giglio of the News & Observer.

Everyone was stunned, especially this woman in the red coat:

Proud father Rafael Palmeiro was surprised, too:

It was officially called a walk-off double with a two-base throwing error. And now NC State will play the winner of Saturday's matchup between Louisville and Florida State.
