Pat McAfee Questions Ryan Tannehill's $96M Extension, Says Luck Will Own Team
The Miami Dolphins on Monday signed quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a six-year extension, which ESPN's Adam Schefter reported was worth $96 million.
Among those surprised to see Tannehill get that kind of money was Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee. All McAfee could think about was how the deal related to what Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will get when he signs his next contract.

Now that's a hot take.
Tannehill is actually 23-25 as a starter, which only strengthens the punter's argument.
McAfee later clarified his tweet:
Luck (No. 1 overall pick) and Tannehill (No. 8 overall pick) entered the league together back in 2012. While Luck—a three-time Pro Bowler—has led the Colts to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons, Tannehill has yet to lead the Dolphins to a winning record, let alone the postseason.
The Colts already know that they are going to have to make a huge offer to Luck when the time comes to get a deal done. And with the way contracts continue to grow, McAfee's take on the matter may not be too far off.
