WWE Elimination Chamber 2015: John Cena, Seth Rollins Matches Revealed for PPV

Joseph ZuckerMay 18, 2015

Elimination Chamber is shaping up to be a must-watch show for fans after two more matches were announced during Monday night's edition of Raw. John Cena will face Kevin Owens, while Dean Ambrose will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Cena experienced firsthand the brutal nature of Owens courtesy of a Pop-Up Powerbomb, and the United States champion will now get his shot at revenge at Elimination Chamber. Owens revealed during the show that The Authority booked the singles match for the WWE Network event, per WWE:

The segment featuring Cena and Owens was beautiful. WWE uploaded it to YouTube, and it's well worth your time if you didn't catch it live or want to watch it again.

Ambrose's match with Rollins was seemingly confirmed, as Stephanie McMahon quickly gave into Ambrose's demands in order to save the WWE champ from a painful fate:

WWE legend Mick Foley is happy to see so many matches have increased personal stakes:

By far the most intriguing of the two matches is Cena vs. Owens, if only to see how the company might use the NXT champion going forward. Should he drop the title to Sami Zayn at Wednesday's NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, it might signal that Owens is transitioning to the flagship program.

Owens has been booked as a monster ever since arriving in NXT, and he made his presence felt at Raw. It would be a serious shame if WWE built him up simply to be the next big, bad heel for Cena to overcome and quickly discard, similar to Bray Wyatt, Rusev, Mark Henry and a laundry list of others.
