New NBA Free-Throw Rule Explained

Bulls Have Some Choices To Make.

kalem smithMay 21, 2008

Hey Bulls' Fan.....I am Kalem Smith, a dedicated and die-hard Chicago Bulls' fan.

I'm here to state some massive choices that need to be made in the next four to five weeks.

First, John Paxson is going to have to sit down and figure out which player to take in the draft—Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose.

It may look like an easy decision, but trust me people it isn't.

Who will be a better fit for the team?

Beasley will provide a low post presence on the offensive and defensive ends.

Rose, will provide a Deron Williams, floor instructor, type presence.

Okay, so if I'm John Paxson with the first pick in the draft, I'd take Derrick Rose.

Once I have taken Rose, I look for a coach that will be able to turn Rose into a star. If I were Paxson, I would sign Coach Avery Johnson.

Second, if the Bulls take Derrick Rose then they may as well say farewell to Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich.

Maybe Paxson could shop the two of them to the Bucks for Micheal Redd, or to the Nuggets for Carmelo Anthony, or to the Heat for versatile forward Shawn Marion.

Third, sign Loul Deng to a nice four or five year deal and get rid of any dead weight on the team.

Also, the Bulls should look into finding a great teacher to instruct Tyrus Thomas so he can become the star that he was expected to become after he was drafted.

Well people, I am not John Paxson, but if I were, these are some of the key things I would do to power my franchise into a winner for the next six to eight seasons.

Second Option: Select Michael Beasley with the top pick. This would add a great low post presence and would keep the original duo of Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon together, along with keeping Loul Deng at small forward and Joakim Noah at center.

Projected line-up for the Chicago Bulls in 2008-2009 season:

If Bulls choose Rose with top pick:   If Bulls choose Beasley with top pick:

PG - Derrick Rose                                 PG - Kirk Hinrich

SG - C.Anthony/M.Redd/S.Marion          SG - Ben Gordon

SF - Loul Deng                                     SF - Loul Deng

PF - Tyrus Thomas                               PF - Michael Beasley

C - Joakim Noah                                  C - Joakim Noah
