Washington Wizards veteran Paul Pierce made some clutch shots during the second-round series against the Atlanta Hawks, but this one would have been his biggest.

With time running out in the fourth quarter on Friday night, The Truth was somehow able to drill a potential game-tying three-pointer while falling away. Unfortunately, the ball was still in Pierce's hand at the buzzer.

The Hawks provided quotes about the shot from DeMare Carroll and Jeff Teague via Twitter.

Instead of forcing overtime, the refs agreed the shot was no good upon further review, giving the Hawks a 94-91 victory and the 4-2 series win. Atlanta will now face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
