WWE's Top Tweets, Instagram Photos and Viral Videos for Week of May 11

The sports world overlapped with the sports entertainment one in much of the best WWE social media content of the week.

The overly discussed Deflategate controversy found its way onto Kofi Kingston's Twitter account. Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton joined forces with The Rock on Instagram. And Jim Ross turned his talents to recent sports moments from Washington, D.C.

Elsewhere, John Cena, Gabriel Iglesias and Lance Storm were a part of the most shareable WWE-related content floating around the Internet.

We begin with Kingston's comments on Tom Brady. The quarterback, who is currently accused of being involved in the deflation of footballs below regulation levels, has been at the center of many a conversation, on-air or otherwise, of late. Kingston added his thoughts, using the moment to make himself look even more like a heel:

While clearly not on Brady's level, Kingston can brag about winning the WWE tag titles four times, which matches the number of Super Bowl championships Brady has on his resume.

A pair of all-stars in their respective fields crossed paths more directly. After Stanton rocketed a homer out of Dodgers Stadium, The Rock was there to congratulate him.

They both posed doing The People's Eyebrow for a shot on Instagram:

Jim Ross ventured into the sports landscape as well. Comcast Sports Network invited him on set to offer his take on a series of recent highs and lows featuring D.C. teams.

The Hall of Famer then did what he does best for a nasty hockey hit and Paul Pierce's game-winner in the NBA playoffs:

Even with that shot from Pierce, the Washington Wizards' chances of winning the NBA title are slim. They have a tough road ahead if they manage to get past the Atlanta Hawks. Cena, on the other hand, is as safe a bet as there is in pro wrestling to retain the United States Championship at Payback.

He hasn't lost at that pay-per-view, nor has he tasted defeat in an "I Quit" match.

Fans got an eye-catching glimpse of his training methods for that bout. Cena posted a video of him lifting what appears to be enough metal to make a small car:

For all the fans out there who believe they are the next Cena, WWE is still welcoming audition videos for the returning Tough Enough series. One of those recent entries stood out.

That's because comedian Gabriel Iglesias, who calls himself Fluffy, was the one trying to prove that he was tough enough. While he doesn't exactly look like WWE material, he managed to make one of the funnier Tough Enough videos out there:

Maybe he's the answer to Jimmy Uso's being without a tag partner until his brother recovers from shoulder surgery.

The possibility of Fluffy screwing things up for that squad, though, is high. Chances are, the duo would do something to add their names to the list of biggest tag team blunders.

WWE compiled 10 items from that list for its latest countdown video. You will see that spears can easily hit the wrong person and that Owen Hart just couldn't catch a break in tag team bouts:

Lance Storm found his way into this video, as he and William Regal benefited from Kane's impaired vision. It's been a long time since he and Regal won the tag titles. Today, he spends more time watching action in the ring than composing it himself.

He and Mick Foley both attended an NXT show in Philadelphia on May 14 in which history was made. Sasha Banks and Charlotte main evented that night. Those women continue to create buzz as NXT's top female performers.

Both Storm and Foley certainly noticed. They had great things to say about the two women:

Seeing those former WWE stars so thrilled about the women's division is understandable considering how much NXT is accomplishing in that department. There will be more big moments from Banks, Charlotte and company ahead. Fans, whether they once competed themselves or not, will have plenty more congratulations to send their way.
