You know it's bad when the Oakland Raiders declare you aren't good enough to be on our team anymore. For Terdell Sands, the end looks near.

I myself have always liked Sands due to his size, at 6'7, 335 pounds he is a beast in the middle, the only problem is he is slower then cold molasses coming out of a jar.

In this day and age there is no need for players like Terdell Sands, it's one thing to be big but it's another to be big and worthless.

The question is...

Should the Oakland Raiders bring Terdell Sands back again for the 2009-2010 season?

Yes or No?

Drafted in 2001 as 7th round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs, due to injury Sands didn't play a single game for Kansas City.

After being released by the Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers signed Sands to their practice squad. The Packers then signed Sands to there active roster and then cut him after one game.

On November 12th, 2003. Terdell Sands signed with the Oakland Raiders and has been a part of the team since then.

Since Sands has been here, the Raiders haven't had a winning season.

In 6 seasons with Oakland, Terdell Sands has 129 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 INT—Yes, one INT—how a QB could ever throw a INT to Terdell Sands boggles my mind. Which in total comes out to 21.5 tackles per season, hardly the production you would want from a defensive tackle after 6 seasons.

Not only are the tackles and sacks missing but also the ability to stop the run and put pressure on the QB. One might ask, why is Terdell Sands, this 7th round pick still on our roster after all these years?

Good question, nobody knows...

As of now, the 30 year old Terdell Sands who turns 31 on October 31st sits 5th on the Oakland Raiders depth chart and still stands a decent shot at making the final 53 roster.

After 6 seasons it's hard to rule Sands out, but why is it that coach after coach Callahan, Turner, Shell, and Kiffin have all kept this guy around? Will Tom Cable cut Terdell Sands off the roster?

Enter Desmond Bryant, if Sands is to get cut, Bryant will most likey take his spot. Bryant is younger (24 years old), faster, and smarter then Terdell Sands. Bryant has also played well this pre-season and has a much better future then Terdell Sands.

After Saturday, the final roster cuts will be made and the Oakland Raiders will have their 53 man roster.

I have 2 questions I would like to ask my fellow Oakland Raiders fans, and would like to hear your comments and thoughts on the subject.

1) Do you want Terdell Sands to make the final 53 roster? Yes or No? Explain why.

2) If you answered no to question #1, then...then my next question would be; what do you think Terdell Sands will do with his life if he is cut by the Raiders?

Flip burgers? Join a local gym? Run for mayor of Fresno? Cut off his braids? Sign with another team? Clean pools? Become a high school football coach? Work for the NFL network like Warren Sapp?

Shoot if it was up to me, I keep him on the roster as number 53 to make the team, he is the enforcer! Just look at his picture, it screams...thugged out.

Don't be shocked if he isn't on the roster come Sunday September 6th, all you guys with Terdell Sands jerseys might be in for a letdown.

Raiders might be lookin' to cut some fat off the roster.
