Cristiano Ronaldo converted from the penalty spot to score the vital goal Real Madrid needed at the Bernabeu against Juventus in the Champions League semi-final second leg.

The goal made it 2-2 on aggregate with Madrid in position to advance based on their away goal scored in Turin. 

Ronaldo sent Gianluigi Buffon the wrong way as he put his powerful shot almost directly down the middle. 

The penalty was awarded somewhat controversially as James Rodriguez went down in the box. 

A cheeky Madrid ball-boy got in on the time-wasting early, trying to keep the ball away from Patrice Evra.

Juventus scored their vital away goal, as Alvaro Morata converted from close range after the ball was nodded back to him from a set piece. 

Madrid had a penalty shout in the second half, as Evra collided with Chicharito inside the penalty area. 

In the waning moments as Juventus chased a late goal to send the tie into extra-time, Iker Casillas rushed a throw-in and was called for a foul throw.
