On Monday, the NFL announced that the New England Patriots would be fined $1 million dollars for their involvement in the Deflategate scandal. The team also forfeited two future draft picks, and star quarterback Tom Brady was suspended four games.

Fans of the team were outraged with the penalty. One fan even started a GoFundMe page to help pay for the fine.

The creator of the page had this to say:

We obviously know we won't reach One Million Dollars, however we do believe the fine is bulls**t and want to help anyway we can. So whatever is donated will be donated to the New England Patriots in help with the fine!

As we venture with this, we will do frequent updates to show progression of this! If enough is made to make the travel, we will fly down there (on our own expenses) and deliver a check in person!

Who knows if this money would actually get to the Patriots? Some commenters don't appear to be buying it, or they just think the idea is ridiculous altogether.
