Joakim Noah Fined $25,000 for Pushing a Fan in Game 2 vs. Cavs
The NBA fined Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah $25,000 after his interaction with a fan following the Bulls' Game 2 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, per K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Steven Ray posted a video of the slight shove that earned Noah his fine:
ESPN's J.A. Adande compared Noah's punishment to how the NBA handled Matt Barnes after the Los Angeles Clippers forward said some allegedly disparaging words to James Harden's mother during a game earlier in the week:
Noah earns a little over $12 million this year, so a $25,000 fine is a drop in the bucket financially. The infraction warranting the fine was rather innocuous, so the league likely felt a stiff reprimand wasn't necessary.
The next time Noah steps into Quicken Loans Arena, though, Cavs fans won't hesitate to try to get under his skin.
