The sports world lost one of its brightest stars this past January when Stuart Scott died of cancer.

Many sports hosts could only wish to have the energy that Scott routinely brought, so it was fitting that he was honored during the Sports Emmy Awards on Tuesday.

After winning the Sports Emmy for best studio host, Ernie Johnson of Turner Sports gave the award to Scott's daughters. According to Holly Rowe, Ernie said the award "belongs with Stuart Scott."

The sports world will never be the same without Scott, and this was the perfect way to honor him. Kudos, EJ.
