Fan Appreciation Day: A Thanks To My Followers

I'm closing in on my first month here on BR, and I would just like to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to those of you who have made my initiation such a wonderful and enjoyable experience thus far.

I believe it's important to acknowledge those in every arena of life who bring about a positive impact in everything I do, no matter how great or small.

At first, I was skeptical about my involvement here. Even though I am actively pursuing a journalism degree and observing athletics is my passion, I wasn't sure if people on the site would respond to my work or give me the satisfaction of interacting with them on a consistent basis.

You, being my first couple of fans, have inspired me a great deal. I can't tell you how heartfelt and sincere I am when I say I'm glad to have had a positive acquaintance with all of you. I appreciate you guys taking interest in my work, and for showing me kindness and making me feel welcome. 

Honestly guys, I mean it from the bottom of my heart: I am sincerely grateful.

No matter how significant or how irrelevant I get as I continue to be a part of this community, I will always be most thankful to those of you who have taken the time to take interest in me in my beginning stages of my development on BR, when I was just a small fish in a pond just looking to build intellectual relationships.

From James Colt, a fellow Longhorn and my first fan (appreciate it, bud!), to my SEC followers such as Kimberley Nash (go Dawgs!), Larry Burton (Roll Tide!), and Georgia Dawg (another Red and Black fanatic), to my fellow Big 12 supportes like Mitchell ('Zou supporter) and Andy Purvis (go Big Red!), and to all of those inbetween such as one our community leaders (Trey), who is both a model of consistency and excellence, to friends I have made along the way like Kev, Trey, and Rick (thanks guys)...I appreciate all of you and the joy you have brought to me in my short time here.

If I left you out, please don't take offense...these we're taken off the top of my head. Even if I didn't name you, trust me; my gratitude is no less gracious towards any of you.

So thanks again guys! It has been a blast, and I look forward to building stronger relationships with all of you in the future!
