Adam WellsMay 1, 2015

On the eve of boxing's biggest night in years, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao took the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the official weigh-in. The two superstars agreed to a 147-pound welterweight limit and came in under that mark.

Pacquiao officially checked in at 145 pounds, per SportsCenter:

Mayweather tipped the scales slightly heavier than Pac-Man at 146 pounds, also per SportsCenter:

At this stage of their respective careers, it's interesting to see how far Pacquiao and Mayweather have come just in weight as they have gotten older and challenged their bodies. ESPN Stats & Info tweeted out what the two future Hall of Famers started their careers weighing in at:

There was never any concern, at least from Pacquiao's side, about missing weight. Pac-Man's trainer, Freddie Roach, claimed his fighter was four pounds under the 147-pound limit on April 30, per Martin Domin of the Daily Mail:

"

I've been training Manny for this fight for five years. We know all about him, we have covered all the bases. I think we have the winning formula to win this fight.

Manny was down to 143 pounds yesterday [Wednesday], so I told him to eat a good meal and then we will do a light workout later today. Tomorrow [Friday] he will have breakfast in the morning and then get on the scale.

"

Per ESPN's Dan Rafael, Pacquiao was so confident about his weight that he had food before stepping out from behind the curtain:

For those who were anticipating some drama during the staredown between Mayweather and Pacquiao, they left disappointed. Here's what it looked like, via Adrian Arambulo of NBC Los Angeles:

If that picture doesn't perfectly encapsulate everything Mayweather and Pacquiao embody, there will never be one that does.

There was a notable moment when Pacquiao seemed to say "thank you" to Mayweather as the two were locked on each other, about which Jim Gray asked Pac-Man afterward, via Greg Logan of Newsday:

The scene in Las Vegas was surreal for the weigh-in, so imagine what things will look like when the fight starts Saturday evening.

According to Bryan Armen Graham of The Guardian, fans were out in full force to see the two boxers step on a scale, with some spending huge sums of money:

BoxingInsider.com tweeted a picture of the raucous scene inside and outside the arena as fans waited in anticipation of the megafight:

Pacquiao enjoyed the moment in the spotlight, even tweeting a selfie with his team before walking out for the weigh-in:

Mayweather took a more business-like approach, rarely changing his demeanor and facial expression while walking to the stage and getting weighed in.

The crowd was firmly behind Pacquiao, as he got roaring cheers from the crowd in attendance whenever he was shown on the big screen. Mayweather was resoundingly booed whenever the camera switched to him, not that he seemed to mind.

All of that was to be expected, as Pacquiao has embraced being the good guy, and Mayweather thrives in the villain role. Now, after years of wondering whether the fight would ever happen, all that's left is for the two men to step into the ring Saturday and settle who is better once and for all.
