Arizona Reportedly Shopping Floyd

Kent Somers of AZCentral Sports noted Friday that the Cardinals “will listen if a team calls with interest in trading for WR Michael Floyd. No one has.”
Floyd put up solid numbers for the Cardinals the past two seasons with a combined 1,882 receiving yards and 11 touchdown catches. He is also only 25 years old and theoretically has plenty of productive seasons ahead of him at the wide receiver position.
Perhaps that production at such a young age is why Grantland’s Bill Barnwell thought it was too early for the Cardinals to give up on Floyd:
Given the timing of this rumor, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Cardinals are looking for additional draft picks for Floyd.
Even with Floyd and fellow wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona was a disappointing 24th in the league in total offense and scoring offense last season and could use some stability at running back or a long-term answer at quarterback.
If the Cardinals picked up an extra pick or two for Floyd, they could theoretically address multiple needs in the later rounds of the draft. They also have John Brown as a potential replacement for Floyd on the outside at wide receiver.
With Fitzgerald constantly occupying attention on one side, Brown (or whichever receiver replaced Floyd) would face single coverage and likely generate impressive stats.
