Theo Walcott Says Arsenal Have Been the Best Team in Europe This Year

To quote Liverpool owner John Henry: "What do you think they're smoking over there at Emirates?"

Arsenal have no doubt been in good form in recent months, but it looks like Theo Walcott has gone a little bit overboard. 

He said, as per the official Arsenal website, that the Gunners have been the best side in Europe in 2015: "In this calendar year, we’ve been the best team in Europe. It’s the strongest the squad has been and everyone is staying fit as well. There aren’t many injuries in the squad, which is important. If we had an injury-free season, I think we could lift the title."

To be fair, Arsenal have lost just twice in the Premier League in 2015—to Southampton and Tottenham—but they did also crash out of the Champions League in the last 16 to Monaco.

Champions League semi-finalists Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid might have something to say about Walcott's claims.
