Chris TealeApr 26, 2015

Another week of action in the Indian Premier League has drawn to a close, with a number of batsmen impressing individually in the competition.

There may still be plenty of games left until the knockout stage, but this week saw a number of teams hit form and some of their individual batsmen do the same.

Let’s take a look at the top 10 from this week in the IPL.

10. Gautam Gambhir (Kolkata Knight Riders)

1 of 10

2 matches; 64 runs; 60 highest score

Just two matches for Gautam Gambhir this week, but he makes this list, thanks to a strong knock against Delhi Daredevils.

His 60 took Kolkata to the brink of victory, which they went on to achieve with ease.

9. Lendl Simmons (Mumbai Indians)

2 of 10

2 matches; 66 runs; 51 highest score

Mumbai opener Lendl Simmons has looked decent this week in scoring 66 runs from his two games.

The Indians batsman notched a half-century in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad as they secured a solid victory.

8. Brendon McCullum (Chennai Super Kings)

3 of 10

2 matches; 70 runs; 66 highest score

Brendon McCullum appears to have continued his form from the World Cup, this time with the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

He rounded off his week with 66 against Kings XI Punjab from just 44 balls, an effort that almost took his side past 200.

7. Shaun Marsh (Kings XI Punjab)

4 of 10

2 matches; 75 runs; 65 highest score

Australian batsman Shaun Marsh has looked good this week for Kings XI Punjab as his love affair with the IPL continues.

The highlight was his 65 against Rajasthan Royals as Punjab secured themselves a superb tie and then won the one-over eliminator.

6. Suresh Raina (Chennai Super Kings)

5 of 10

2 matches; 91 runs; 62 highest score

From the crucial No. 3 position for Chennai Super Kings, Suresh Raina has looked very impressive this week in his two opportunities.

His best of 62 helped Chennai defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore comfortably and was critical as they racked up more than 180 batting first.

5. Ajinkya Rahane (Rajasthan Royals)

6 of 10

2 matches; 92 runs; 74 highest score

This week was perhaps not quite as successful for Ajinkya Rahane, but he still looked somewhat impressive for Rajasthan.

His 74 helped the Royals secure a tie against Kings XI Punjab, and he remains the leading run-scorer in this year’s IPL.

4. JP Duminy (Delhi Daredevils)

7 of 10

3 matches; 96 runs; 78* highest score

Delhi Daredevils captain JP Duminy enjoyed a very good week personally, even as his side won just one of their three matches.

His best of 78 not out was very helpful in their win over the Mumbai Indians, and he will be hopeful it can generate some momentum in the coming games.

3. Shikhar Dhawan (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

8 of 10

2 matches; 98 runs; 54 highest score

Opener Shikhar Dhawan continues to look in strong form for Sunrisers Hyderabad, having twice passed 40 this week.

His 54 helped Sunrisers beat Kolkata Knight Riders, although his 42 could not take them home against the Mumbai Indians.

2. Shreyas Iyer (Delhi Daredevils)

9 of 10

3 matches; 114 runs; 83 highest score

Young Indian opener Shreyas Iyer has looked in good touch this week, with 114 runs from his three matches.

His best of 83 came for the Delhi Daredevils against the Mumbai Indians as they cruised to victory.

1. Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

10 of 10

3 matches; 148 runs; 62* highest score

In three matches this week, Virat Kohli has led the way for Royal Challengers Bangalore with the bat.

They only secured two victories, but to have their superstar captain on song will give the Royal Challengers a great deal of heart moving forward.
