Arsenal Transfer News: Latest on Isco, Victor Wanyama and Paulo Dybala Rumours
Arsenal have been "cleared" to sign Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to Spanish publication Fichajes (h/t Jamie Sanderson of the Metro).
Sanderson reports Los Blancos will cash in on the former Malaga man for £32.9 million, despite signing him less than two years ago for a reported £23 million. Isco has become a key player for Carlo Ancelotti's team this season, carrying out a multi-functional role in the side's midfield three, so it's difficult to determine why Madrid would consider selling him.
However, if Ancelotti wants to raise funds, Isco is potentially disposable when James Rodriguez and Luka Modric are both fit.

Isco took advantage of Gareth Bale's injury spell earlier in the season to prove his worth. He has scored three goals and provided eight assists in 31 La Liga matches, per WhoScored.com, but has become a far more well-rounded player in recent times.
He works hard defensively and plays selfless football for the team, becoming just one more star in Madrid's endless supply of match-winners.

He would be a terrific signing for the Gunners, and any other side in Europe, but the speculation seems misplaced.
Wanyama Denies Speaking with Wenger

The same can be said for reports linking Southampton's Victor Wanyama to the north London club. As reported by Justin Allen of The Sun, Wanyama is said to have been in contact with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. Allen provided the player's alleged comments:
"Wenger has been talking about me. And he has let it be known he would like to sign me this summer. Arsenal are a great club and I'd love to play Champions League football as I loved being on that stage with Celtic. But we've had a fantastic season at Saints and I want to stay focused on helping the club qualify for Europe. Then we'll see where I end up in the summer.
"
However, Wanyama took to Twitter to deny he has spoken with Wenger:
"We all respect Arsenal but right now I'm only focussed on helping Saints to have a strong finish to the season.
— Victor Wanyama (@VictorWanyama) April 23, 2015"
Arsenal have long been linked with Morgan Schneiderlin, Wanyama's team-mate, in their search for a defensive midfielder. Allen's report indicates this interest has "waned" since Francis Coquelin's step up into the senior team.
Dybala Talks 'Difficult" for Juventus

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the Serie A champions wish to sign Paulo Dybala from Palermo, a striker Arsenal are currently linked with.
However, Marotta indicates the conversation with Palermo chairman Maurizio Zamparini isn't going particularly well, per La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Mark Doyle of Goal.com): "Dybala? We are speaking with Zamparini but the negotiations are difficult."
Zamparini previously told Canal Plus (h/t Ben Gladwell of ESPN FC) that Arsenal "certainly" want to sign Dybala. The Argentinian striker has been a revelation in Serie A this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists, recorded by WhoScored.com.
B/R UK's James McNicholas recently discussed how Arsenal can offer a legitimate title challenge next season:
Isco, Wanyama and Dybala would undoubtedly be excellent captures for the club, but none seem likely right now. Wenger has spent big on players including Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez during the last two summers, and should be expected to do the same again.
If he doesn't, Arsenal's hopes of landing the Premier League trophy will only regress.
