Overview
Both teams come into this game on the back of an ODI series dominated by the hosts, who ran out as convincing 3-0 winners, having dominated all three games.
Bangladesh won the first game by 79 runs then the second and third games by seven and eight wickets, respectively, to whitewash the visiting Pakistan team.
Most impressive for the Bangladeshis were the performances of openers Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar, the latter of which is just 22 and still inexperienced in international cricket.
On the bowling side, the wickets were shared around fairly evenly, with only Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny passing three wickets in an inning and doing so once each.
Meanwhile, new Pakistan ODI captain Azhar Ali stayed consistent as an opener, but he had little support from his wildly inconsistent team-mates.
The tour now moves to this T20I, with Shahid Afridi now leading Pakistan as captain after having not been in the ODI series.
With Bangladesh on song but Pakistan surely hurting from their recent experiences, it could be a fascinating game before the start of the two-match Test series.

Key Players
Tamim Iqbal
In two of the three ODIs between these two teams, Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal made a big impact as he scored two centuries and one half-century.
With his aggression and shot-making, he will want to maintain this strong form for the game’s shortest format.
Shahid Afridi
Out of the squad for Pakistan’s 3-0 reversal in the ODI series, Shahid Afridi now needs to prove he is worthy of his place still in this T20I side.
He retains the reins of captaincy and will need to contribute with bat and ball as well to show he still has something to offer in international cricket.
